In April, the local government expenditures of the Municipality amount to RMB 16.23 billion, RMB 1.56 billion or 10.6% higher than the previous year, in which the Municipal-level expenditures are RMB 2.8 billion, RMB 0.19 billion or 6.3% down from the previous year.

Of all local government expenditures of the Municipality, those on scientific and technological development, social security, commerce and services grow faster and are all higher than the average. The priority is given to stimulating domestic demands and improving the people’s livelihood, such as subsidies for major scientific and technological projects, the needy citizens, the people living under minimum livelihood level and the unemployed who are covered by social insurance in urban and rural areas, as well as funding for employment creation.
