In April 2012, the local government expenditures of Shanghai Municipality amount to RMB 30.65 billion, 12% up in annual terms. From Jan. to April 2012, the local government expenditures of Shanghai Municipality amount to RMB 109.61 billion, 19.2% up annually, which account for 27.2% of the goal of government spending for 2012.  

In April 2012, goals for expenditure on improving the people’s life and transforming the economic and industrial structure have been better fulfilled, and the key targets of funding include development of accessory projects for college and university campuses, special and local support for key national research projects, oil subsidy for taxi drivers and public transport operators, and financing guarantee for SMEs
