From Jan. to May, the total expenditures of the local government of Shanghai Municipality amount to RMB 168.15 billion, 9.8% up in annual terms. Among all, the expenditure goals for promoting science and technology, agriculture, forestry, irrigation, public health, birth control, social security and employment have been better fulfilled.
