The total local government revenues of the first two months of 2010 amount to RMB 57.7 billion, RMB 13.44 billion or 30.4% higher than the previous year, in which Municipal-level revenues amount to RMB 28.29 billion, RMB 6.82 billion or 31.8% up from the previous year. Among the major revenue items, value added tax (VAT) increases by 14.9%, business tax 38.8%, corporate income tax 23.9%, personal tax 7.1% and contract tax 41.5%.
