In August 2011, the local government revenues of the Municipality amount to RMB 21.77 billion, RMB 4.26 billion or 24.3% higher than the previous year, in which the Municipal-level revenues amount to RMB 9.63 billion, RMB 2.22 billion or 30% up from the previous year. Among the major items, VAT decreases by 8.4%, business tax increases by 15.5%, corporate income tax increases by 264.1%, and personal income tax increases by 25.4%. The total local government revenues of the Municipality from January to August amount to RMB 261.17 billion, 26.4% higher than the previous year.

In August 2011, as the Municipality enjoys steady growth and the consumption and services markets continue to boom, the local government revenues grow moderately on a monthly basis to which the major contribution is the MOF transfer of corporate income tax paid by headquarters and branches of business enterprises that operate in two or more provinces or municipalities.
