I. General public budget revenues

In the first half of the year 2022, the general public budget revenues of Shanghai Municipality totaled RMB 379.48 billion, down 12.9% year on year after deducting VAT credit refunds, or down 19.8% before deduction.

II. General public budget expenditures

In the first half of the year 2022, Shanghai’s general public budget expenditures amounted to RMB 381.27 billion, up 0.6% year on year. Expenditures have met budgetary goals better in prioritized areas such as public health, energy conservation and environment protection, commercial services.
