From Jan. to May 2022, the general public budget revenues of Shanghai Municipality totaled RMB 339.37 billion, down 11.4% after deducting VAT credit refunds, or down 16.8% before deduction.

II. General public budget expenditures

From Jan. to May 2022, the general public budget expenditures of Shanghai Municipality totaled RMB 297.7 billion, up 0.6% on the annual basis.Expenditures have met budgetary goals better in prioritized areas including public health, energy conservation and environmental protection, and transportation.
