From January to November 2023, the general public budget expenditures of Shanghai Municipality totaled RMB842.86 billion, up 5.8% year on year. Expenditures have met budgetary goals better in prioritized areas such as energy conservation and environmental protection, science and technology, education, social security, and employment.
