From January to July 2024, the general public budget expenditure of Shanghai Municipality totaled 489.71 billion yuan, increasing by 1.4 percent from the previous year. Top priority was given to key areas such as transportation, science and technology, and healthcare, with expenditures in these sectors being effectively managed and executed.
