II. General public budget expenditures

From Jan. to Aug. 2023, the general public budget expenditures of Shanghai Municipality totaled RMB 552.12 billion, up 8.1% year on year. Expenditures have met budgetary goals better in prioritized areas such as energy conservation and environmental protection, resources exploration, industrial information, education, science and technology.
